What is Pre-K?

Pre-K is an opportunity to prepare children for Kindergarten, providing them with a year of high-quality early childhood education to make sure they are ready for the next step in their learning journey.

The aim of Global Children Services Pre-K class is to teach children core academic skills and knowledge, as well as provide them with an encouraging environment to learn the social skills necessary to be successful in any academic space.

Designed specifically for 4 year old children* this program supports their learning and offers them a space to grow in confidence as well as ability.

*For the 2024-2025 academic year, children need to be 4 years old by August 15, 2023.

Our Partnership

Global Children Services is an early childhood partnership with First 8 Memphis. Pre-K provides preschool for 4 year olds in schools so that they will enter kindergarten ready to learn. Students benefit not only from the academic portion of Pre-K, but also the wrap-around services that Global Children Services offers, providing each child with health, disability, and nutrition services as well as family services. Students greatly benefit from the socialization aspect of Pre-K, which teaches them how to be a student so that they are ready to go from Day 1 of kindergarten.
